More Good Weeks Day 1: Awareness

(30 minute edition)

So, how's it going these days, wherever you are?

Whatever kind of season you're in right now, in terms of your life and work, the chances are, you're facing some challenges - as well as some opportunities.

Every week, we've all got the same 7 days and 168 hours - less, if you take a Sabbath. We live with limits. Some of the time, some of us try to live beyond them...

We can't do #allthethings.

There is rarely enough time to do everything we feel like we have to do, as well as the things we want to do - and still be the sort of person we want to be. Each day has enough trouble of its own, right?

Despite our best intentions - and our best laid plans, over the course of a week, things can unravel quickly.

Time for a grace filled reality check?

This mini-course is about taking time to think about your life and work - and take some action, so you can have #moregoodweeks

We're all different - and there are plenty of ways to have a good week. What makes a week a good week for you, won't be the same for all of us.

As we start Day 1, it's useful to think about what a 'good' week means to you - and when is the last time you had one.

Take a few minutes to think about each of the questions below - and jot down any thoughts that come to mind. Don't overthink this. This is for you. You're not handing the answers in to anyone.

Allow these questions to inspire, as well as challenge you.

Let's dive in:

Today's Questions:

  1. What makes a week 'a good week' for you? Try to nail it down to the top three things, if you can.

eg. Maybe a good week for you right now is about your wellbeing, your productivity, your sense of purpose - or living out of your values. Maybe it's less about getting things done - and more about being the person you want to be. Or something else?
  2. When was the last time you had a 'good' week ?
  3. Are there any gaps between the life you tell yourself you're living and:
    a) the life you're actually living
    b) the life you sense you are called to be living?
  4. We are not what we do. At least, we are not ONLY what we do. But If how we spend our time and energy each week. reflects (to some degree) who we are - and who we are becoming - are you becoming the person you're called to be?
  5. What would you do, if money wasn't an issue - and you could do ANYTHING?

You might just want to think about these questions - or journal your answers in a notebook.
