Hi, I'm Sarah, Founder of AWAY.
Back in January 2014 I was a front seat passenger in a car crash.
As it turns out, there’s nothing like being knocked into the path of a 4x4 coming the other way, to help focus your mind and make you reassess your life choices.
The car crash prompted me to rethink my priorities and start the process of gradually re-aligning my life and work with what matters most to me.
It took me a while to work out where to start, but eventually I took the plunge, sold the successful online business I’d built from scratch and retrained as a coach.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve held a number of different roles in not-for-profits, small businesses and the local church. Having gained my coaching certification in 2016, I'm currently working towards ACC accreditation with the ICF (International Coach Federation) and continuing my development with 3D Coaching. These days, run AWAY alongside my part-time role as Relationships Manager on the national team at Intentional Health. Closer to home, I’m also part of a regional team offering transition coaching to those who are new in role in the Diocese of Leicester.
I live in a fast-growing market town in the Midlands, where my husband leads a church. We’re parents to two boys in their late teens who inspire and challenge us every single day.
Most days, we find ourselves running on too much coffee - and a whole lot of Jesus.
